Rock River Arms continues to adjust the arrival time as do other manufacturers. Since the election, general product arrivals times continue to increase with some easing on certain models. Bottom line, the supply / demand issue has gotten better as more and more models come on-line for production.
Select any of the main category links on the RRA main page for current inventory availability and pricing on various RRA models. All rifles are posted as to their inventory status of in-stock or not. If not in-stock, each rifle listed indicates the "Availability" and next to it the date the rifle was ordered from the Rock River Arms factory (see "ORDERED FROM FACTORY...".
In the past, all rifle arrival lead times were based on actual historical arrival times from the Rock River Arms factory. Since the November election the lead times for arrivals have increased. As a result of the election and surge in sales, we have limited historical data to estimate possible ETA's since November the 4th, 2008. Generally, Rock River Arms estimates a number of weeks for production of a rifle from the date the order is submitted to the factory. The ETA is a general production estimation and in no way is an exact and precise arrival date. The date given as ordered from the factory next to each rifle is an exact date, however the estimated time of arrival is somewhat of a moving target. As a general course, in order to estimate some idea of a rifles arrival, add the following MINIMUM number of weeks to the posted ORDERED FROM FACTORY date:
20 weeks minimum
(See chart below for details)
Note (1): Currently barrels are the issue for all manufacturers. Expect at least 6 weeks longer for chrome lined barrels and 12-16 weeks longer for Stainless Steel barrels. Rifles with Chrome-Moly barrels are arriving on average in the above minimum time period.
Other manufacturers are not immune from the long wait scenario. Here is a list of the current waits stated from the following AR15 style rifle manufacturers:
DPMS - 8 to 12 Months
Stag Arms - 6 to7 Months
In short, if the rifle is AR15 style and has a barrel, expect similar delays industry wide.
Many times rifles do not arrive in the same order they are ordered from the factory. When rifles are manufactured at the RRA facility all rifles are built in batches of like types. All orders built in a batch may be orders received in an entire month or several months. Depending on the order and the date the order was placed with the factory, your rifle build, even though placed well before others may be built with others ordered at a later time. This is the way manufacturing works as it is the most cost effective and efficient manner possible.
If you are under a specific deadline, about to be deployed or want that special gun for your hunting trip in a specific certain period of time, do not estimate forward of the date that the rifle was ordered as a precise measure of arrival as it is not.
We appreciate your patience during these difficult production supply shortages. We are doubling up our orders and rifle manufactures are doubling up their efforts to do everything possible to get the rifle of your dreams in your hands as soon as possible.
